Cockroaches!
Cockroaches are disgusting pests.They like damp dark places.Cockroaches are insects. That means that they have six legs.They have long thin feelers and and a brown long body.Cockroaches are really fast and can live for one week without it's head!Cockroaches eat almost everthing!That's why people get really annoyed.Also Cockroaches have been living since the time of the dinosaurs!Cockroaches can live for almost one month without food.

A Disgusting Creature!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!Celia get this rather disguting creature out of my face!Oh no my word mate has been munched!By the way what is this yucky thing?Oh nuts!A rat jumped out of my tote tray.What can I do?Why don't I tell mrs Govender.Doesn't work#.Okay fine nothing works I'll chuck it out the door.(sigh) great that rat is outa here. Hooray!& one more thing. I hate rats!
In the holidays I went to cairns in Australia.The second day I was at cairns I had to wake up at 3 oclock in the morning for no reason#.My mum said that we were going to a farm in the country side.Okay now I'm at the farm in the country side.AAAAAAAAAAAAH!What is that?Is it a toaster that is about to explode?What is it?Oh I know now its a basket a hot air balloon basket.So am I going on a hot air balloon?Of course I am!But...How will we get to where the hot air ballon will land?Beep Beeeeeeeeeep!Trailer coming.So looks like that I'm going on that trailer.Bump bump bump went the trailer.Finally we arrived.It was really easy to get into the basket.First you put your right foot in the first footstep on the outside of the basket.Then you put your other foot into the higher footstep.Afterwards put your right foot on the same footstep before but just inside,then hop in.As I was getting in I noticed a colossal koala hugging onto a teeny weeny(it acutally wasn't so tiny)joey.When everyone was in the basket properly the hot air balloon fluttered up...and up.....and up more!The sight under was beatiful!I was really lucky to see a walibie skipin around.I saw some horses and fields(mostly fields).

Unusual Sports
A sport is a competitive physial activity.An sport is unusual if it requires unusual equipment
or an odd rule.Now you will learn some different things about unusual sports.
Curling
Curling is played on ice.That is why it is played normally in winter.In this sport players have to push a heavy stone towards the target which is called the house.The big heavy stone is made of granite and has a handle for the players to hold.
Yukigassen
Yukigassen (say:yoo-ki-gass-en) is a snowball fighting game.This game is played only at places that has snow.
Before the game starts the players have to make a lot of snowballs.Yukigasen was envented in japan.
I think that you should compete in one unusual sport.
28.6.17 Should Year 3 Children Be Allowed to write with pens?
I think year 3 children should write with pens because... if you need to sharpen your pencil its just wasting you time while when your writing with pen you don't even need to sharpen it. Also when your writing with pen you don't even need to rub it out (also you can't rub out pen marks)while if you use a pencil and make a lot of mistakes and rub it out,you might not see the word writtin on top of it clearly.In fact if your pencil is toooo small, you have to chuck it in the bin and buy a new one.
I am sure that year three children can write with pens,I've already seen lots of people using pens.

Gold Discovery Downstairs
Dink donk bionk!In the holidays I was on my way to Tauranga when I went to Gold Discovery.Gold Discovery took two hours to drive from my house. First I went downstairs and did a quiz where you find the answer while you go.The lady at the reception led us downstairs and asked us a question.The question was how much gold was in a rock.There was a huge rock in the middle of the room with a board with some answers of how much gold was in the rock.The lady said we would find out in the end. We went along looking at things about mining and I also found out that miners died at a early age, because they had dust in their lungs.When we arrived at the area Boom Town,I went past a fun game called Two Up.It was a kind of gumbo though,I found out another thing that lots of miners didnt have thumbs*because of the game Two Up.At this area,I also went in the Ghost Theatre to watch a movie.The movie about a miner called Tom and his wedding day.Finally we reached the end and I found out how much gold was in the colossal rock.I The I gave the quiz to the lady and she gave ma a chocolate Crunchie.But... that isnt the end of the story.

My Pledge 6.9.17
Ew! Disgusting!!The day before yesterday, my class went to Tread Lightly which was also known as the TLC team.I chose a pledge that was, REDUCE THE PACKAGING IN MY LUNCHBOX!I chose that because when I have a child, I can remember to give her less packaging in her lunchbox.I also chose that because it helps save the environment. We also did some experiments/games before we chose our pledge.The sorting out rubbish was my favourite activity. I enjoyed tread lightly and I hope they come back to our school again.

My Holiday all about breastroke

On your marks,get set,go!On Saturday morning,I went to Manukau swimming pool for a special swimming race just for fun and we could also get medals and ribbons for your hard work.
The warm up in the water started at 11:30 and ended at twelve.I was already nervous about my first race that was 100 Breastroke,which was number three in all the races.Before I was called up for my race, I watched the older swimmers swim 400 im and 400 freestyle.
When it was my turn to get on the diving board,I had lots of butterflies in my tummy.It was my turn to get on the block,when I got on a microphone shouted ON YOUR MARKS,GET SET,GO!!!!!!!I dived in,did a pullout and started swimming breastroke.I finally finished the race feeling very happy.But best of all I won a medal just for that event
I enojoyed the swimming race a lot and I had a lot of fun

Shark!
What an awsome game.Yesterday room1a went to the top courts and played a game called shark!First we went to the PE shed to get some hula hoops.Then some children put hoops all over the top courts.Then we lined up on the yellow line.Then Mr Healey explained the rules of the game.The rules was that first you run around the hula hoops,but when Mr Healey called out shark we all had to jump into a hula hoop.Only two people were allowed in a hoop.If there were some children who could not find a hoop they were out.Every time a new round started,one of the children that was out would take away a hoop.On the last round Madison and Senith managed to get into the last hoop.

I think year 3 children should write with pens because... if you need to sharpen your pencil its just wasting you time while when your writing with pen you don't even need to sharpen it. Gold Discovery Downstairs

Ew!
